I dunno but I like the idea of making collective playlists that fit themes! Music is a huge, huge obsession of mine and I'm always building playlists. I realize how intertwined it is with my drawing/world-building and I want to encourage it even more, so here I am!
I guess the theme of this thread is Fantasy. I know that's a very broad concept (if folks get into this idea you can definitely make more specific threads). But I dunno, I'm thinkin...DnD... lutes... bards... fairies... dungeons... lord of the rings... castles... swashbucklers... I dunno, that kinda thing. That could include like, doom metal, so there's really no limit to genre, here.

So many ideas!!!! Thank you for posting this -- more to follow and enjoy!! Hope I can figure out how to embed them? My taste in music is pretty eclectic, so I'm going to post a couple of songs that have inspired some of my fantasy art pieces. The first two are in Spanish and the stories themselves are kinda... dark mythology, if you will? The third is in gaulish by a band a friend recommended a while back; they have other versions of this song too, but the heavier sound really works for me when tackling a darker piece. Fernando Lima is a countertenor, so fairly high voice. 'El Vuelo' in a nutshell is the legend of an inca princess waiting for the return of her lover, a warrior that was sacrificed - so he becomes a condor. Gustavo Cerati was the lead in one of the best spanish rock bands of all time, Soda Stereo. His solo work was always a bit out there. "Cactus" Is a favorite of mine. And last but not least -- the more metal version of 'Omnos' by Eluveitie.
And also because this is consuminf my brain while I write my latest thing, Florence and the Machine's 'King':

Ah yes, the bard core!! I've been wanting to get more of that. Some of it is sooo good. Including this one which I haven't heard before, thank you. xD
I'll drop some I like from a band called Faun. I don't actually know the band that well but these songs are always finding their way to my playlists:

The Mediaeval Baebes are always good for fantasy:

This is a specific D&D / Fantasy vibe, but I have played a pirate for a very long-lived campaign, and I am kind of basic and mostly got at the Assassin's Creed ost for a lot of my shanties this is one of my favorite ones for just, how the vocal renditions sound. I am not very musically knowledgeable, in terms of...well, terms, how to phrase things, etc, but I know what I like when I hear it.

I love the Assassins Creed music, too. It's so well done. I looked into it because I loved the singer's voice so much and found his youtube channel, of course he's a historical music buff! (Sean Dagher, he has a whole youtube channel of sea shantie and stuff, haha)
I love them all but I think one is my favorite:
