Ok!! It sounded like everyone was kinda into the sketch JAM idea so here goes nothing!! In case anyone doesn't know what a "Sketch JAM" is: everyone who signs up does a sketch for everyone else who signs up! So if 4 sign up, we'll each draw three and receive three! Yeah? I actually don't remember if that's how the sketch jams of the past worked... but hey!
Sign up between 7/1 and 7/7!
My Question is... how long does everyone think the duration of this exchange should be? Maybe it depends on how many people sign up? Or just go with a month regardless of how many people sign up?

YESSSSSS. Yes yes yes. SO into it. (I'll also say that my goal is to move at the end of the month, so I'll likely be on the faster end with my producing.)
Annoyingly, I'm going to repeat my same request from last time because I need ALL THE SKÁRA ART FILLING MY SOUL. 1) Human, androgynous, medievalish high fantasy setting (vaguely medieval-Scandinavian flavor, but you don't have to hew to this too hard) 2) If you don't feel like drawing armor, their clothing choices are highly variable and run the entire gender gamut; often a mix of flowy and form-fitting for Maximum Drama 3) Long dark curly hair. Flowers are a frequent adornment, along with some kind of braid configuration. Not averse to the occasional crown, circlet, coronet, etc. 4) Dramatic eye makeup is a Big Yes 5) The torc necklace (braided silver bands, pearls, nautilus-shaped finials) is a near-constant wear. (Also, it's magical and lets them breathe underwater.) 6) Expressive, but often cranky 7) Sword, if you're into that kind of thing Refs: The standard outfit:

Yes yes yes!! Okay, so Aubrey would be my choice! He's in his late 30s. Wears torn baggy jeans, chain wallet, band shirt, and flannel. He is (actually) Abdul Alhazred but as a 90s grunge nerd.
You do not have to draw him as a cat, I know we mostly draw humans here and I (I can draw humans but I don't do it with my own OCS.) and i need more human!Aubrey art.

yesss. I am also in!!! OK i'VE DONE IT. I made a really ugly web page for my characters. That was extremely fun and silly. I had been working on it anyway just for fun but this exchange was a good reason to actually finish it: Ray's character page!! For this exchange I don't have any preference for which character is drawn. I love them all and I'd love to see all of them, so pick whomever seems interesting or challenging or fun. Also there's no pressure to draw any of them to a specific design! Heck feel free to draw a sci-fi character in a fantasy interpretation! go wild, haha.

Hell yes this is going to be so fun! First off, I will throw in Jackal again. -Jackal -Appears mid-30's ish -5'9 -Pink hair -"Skin" is artificial and only covers head and neck.
-Scar over right eye. Right eye is solid blue and glows, left eye appears "normal" and has a grayish blue iris. -Missing left arm, but can attach prosthetics. -Setting is variable. I'm still kind of working it out for myself but I guess I've been putting her into a desert/Mad Max type world for now. Jackal used to be a cyborg but got so old that what was left of her original human body rotted away. She is now completely mechanical with some memories and parts of her personality preserved virtually so she is human-ish in her mannerisms but comes across as a little bit "off". She's pretty quiet usually and maybe has a slight tendency to loom uncomfortably though she doesn't intend to be creepy. In spite of usually only having one arm she is very adept with a sword and good at sizing up opponents.
If you don't want to draw a bunch of metal plating as always please feel free to cover her up with clothes.
* * *
And since I just did a big sketch dump elsewhere about him and he's occupying a large chunk of my brain currently, I will also submit one of my old DnD characters.
-Ando Francis Fleetfoot -57 -3' tall. Round build emphasized by long fur. -Himalayan. Seal point coloration with a white beard and mustache. -Right eye is yellow, left eye is blue -High fantasy setting.
Ando was part of a campaign called Kingmaker where we were tasked with scouting/settling some wild lands and making a castle town. He is a somewhat unknown opera singer, composer, and professor. He settled down after a wild youth spent traveling with his wife but started to get restless after a couple of decades of teaching and not having much luck getting his operas produced. He volunteered to be part of the scouting group to relive the adventures of his younger days and hopefully write something more inspired along the way.
I imagined that as a professor he was outwardly pretty reserved but encouraged his students to engage in political activism/radical new ideas. Sort of a buttoned down aging hippy type.
