I kinda feel like an ongoing simple sketch trade in addition to another themed trade seems like a good idea! I guess, depending on interest that is!
This will be a one-off sketch, not a "sketch jam", so we will each only draw one and receive one.
No rules, just sign up and draw! There isn't any expectation for quality, either. Just as long as we make a sketch!! Haha. I feel like we all are taking advantage of these sketch trades to do more refined drawings, which is fine and great but not required. A low pressure thing, meant to keep us active even in the busiest of times. So anyhow, yeah!!! I'll leave the sign up here for a week or until at least two people sign up.

It's been a rough and stupid summer but I'm finally able to commit to fun stuff!! Either Ember or Aislinn is good for me <3 (The images in the character pages can't be enlarged right now, sorry. Gotta set up new image links)

Ok I didn't end up with enough time to finish my character page this week but I've been working on redesigning Tadaka so I will throw her in.
I haven't totally gotten her story back together but for now:
-A spirit. Possibly partially fae.
-Personality is teasing/flirtatious. Doesn't seem to take much very seriously but in reality loves certain people and places very deeply. -Short and round/curvy. Can be drawn a little bigger than I illustrated in the older drawings.
-Tattoos: black bar on chin, three hearts crossed out on her right forearm, one heart with a tear drop on her left upper arm, two tiger stripes around her waist.
-Clothing is a mix of South Asian and fantasy (interpret that as you will. I'm still thinking about designs). Usually somewhat revealing but practical for moving in. -Can produce fire from her hands that can be used as a weapon or to heal minor wounds. Fighting style is inspired by Zui Quan

Also, the foreshortening on that one leg is just. *chef kiss* And that second set of eyes is SO CUTE.

And no one has drawn her yet so this is awesome. You completely captured her impish personality! The expression is spot on, she looks like she is up to no good and I love it, haha. Also her smaller set of eyes looking in a different direction is perfect. Her posing is very acrobatic which is also completely in character, she's always climbing things and jumping around and hanging from things. I love how her feet are gripping the tree in such a realistic way, showing how she skillfully uses her environment to get around. and her teeth poking out!! and the dragonfly!! ahh! hahah, i just love it and I'm so happy you picked her! xd. edit: if you don't mind i can photoshop this photo to give it more even lighting. and post it on my character page with your permission. :> |

I loved her as soon as I saw her on your page. Absolutely yes, if you can photoshop this for better lighting. I can also try to drag out my scanner this weekend, but the scanner software is crummy and I no longer have photoshop so I've been using photopea.com until I can get a NEW computer for which I've bought Clip Studio but can't use that on my OLD computer (I hate being in computer limbo ugh). Why are computers expensive.  |

Oh man, I feel your pain. My scanner is so old that it uses ancient software that only works when it feels like it... I did finally get a new laptop kinda recently, though, so I am happy about that and I hope you get a new machine sooner than later!

Holy shit I am completely blown away. I'm trying to get my thoughts together beyond just "IT IS PERFECT AND I LOVE IT". First off, the clothes. I can't believe all the little details you put in. I really enjoy the tassels on the jacket and how you added illustrations to the textiles with light gray. It's definitely giving me ideas for how to move forward with her new design. I really enjoy how some of it looks structured and some of it looks like it would move in interesting flowy ways. Sometimes I have trouble drawing jewelry convincingly and I feel like I learned something about that from seeing how you've drawn her bracelets. They're really beautifully rendered and also very much something she would wear. It's great to just see her in general. It's like having a dear old friend back in my life ;;. Then on top of it, seeing her in your style is a huge treat :') I'm really glad you had fun with it. That really shows.
I ended up sleeping in kind of late today and so this is basically the first thing I'm seeing this morning which is setting an extremely joyful tone for the day. Thank you so much!!
