I feel like most of the people here probably have great taste in movies (just a hunch) so if you have any recommendations... I want theemmmmm....
I just watched "Albert Nobbs" last night, which is a movie I'd wanted to see for years (since it came out in 2011) but I never got around to it and then forgot it existed. I was reminded of it recently and decided to finally watch it. I really loved it! There's so much nuance hidden in there and so much going on that I think is probably totally invisible to many viewers. After watching it I read some reviews on rotten tomatoes and they totally missed the point. I don't wanna talk spoilers (even though the movie is over 10 years old, haha). But I dunno, I liked it!

So a couple I would recommend are "Only Lovers Left Alive" a bit of an older vampire film but different than the usual; "The Girl with all the Gifts" if you are into zombie films but like something that completely changes the genre, and more recently I saw "Everything, Everywhere, All at Once" and was blown away because its just so different.
Are there any genres you're into?

Thanks for those ideas, I have wanted to watch "Everything, Everywhere, All at Once" but haven't gotten to it yet. As for genre... I like anything! Sorry that doesn't give you much to go on, haha. There isn't anything specific I really love or really dislike! In general I like character driven stuff/interesting characters, though.

Everything everywhere, all at once is so dang good I certainly recommend it.
I feel like I have other movies to recommend but I can't think of them off the top of my head so, later.
